Networked Business Continuity Parks
A Business Continuity Park™ provides services at a location where communications, power and other critical infrastructure are protected from multiple hazards including electromagnetic pulse (EMP) from either manmade or natural sources (e.g. geomagnetic storm). They include EMP-safe power sources on or off the electric grid using renewable energy sources whenever possible. They are often placed in rural areas so that they may be able to provide services to urban areas for disaster recovery planning purposes.
A Business Continuity Network™ is a network that is EMP protected connecting Business Continuity Parks. IAN has proposed that nine or more regional Business Continuity Networks be developed around the country as soon as possible. Contact IAN staff for ways to discover how your community can participate in one.
